Immigration is not an issue related just with México and USA. It occurs in every country, and in both ways. And it has been happening since the beginnings of the human history.
Moving is natural. The borders created by men can not stop them.
If Canada were richest than you, there would not be force that could stop your poorer citizens to move to that country.
What can we do? Being very objectives:
1) Review why you do not want mexican immigrants but are so enthusiastic filling your country with people from China or India. Is it an educational issue?
2) Why you accepti cubans just to hit Castro, when México has been by much the better USA partner in Latinamerica.
3) If the immigrants are a problem what is working so bad in your country, that you can not stop them while they are crossing the border.
4) The immigrants, are they fulfilling a useful function to you?
5) Can you split México and USA with a body of water ? If the answer is no, then we need to be more creatives.
I do not want the mexican poors to keep going to your land. If just they were convinced of stay in his lands, to grow their own fields, then the Mexican country would be plenty of grains, food and products to export.
What is not working, I don't know, maybe 70 years of a corrupt government is too much to the new democratic system. But I'm sure, in the future, mexicans will stay here, to contribute to the mexican greatness.

I don't care where someone is from as long as they come here legally! Please don't generalize that all of us have problems with Mexicans. I have HUGE issues with the Mexican & the American governments for their attitude towards our southern border! Thanks :)
Stick to law. Deport those who have entered illegally and close the borders.
Hopefully welcome them and allow them to work freely.

and it's not that jobs don't exist in Mexico because they do. however, the pay that these offer aren't enough to feed their families!!! Mexican teachers with university degrees make less than part-time minimum wage in America!
and the united states stole the US southwest from Mexico after the US-Mexican war in the treaty of Guadalupe hidalgo. it is true that Mexico received a million dollars for the land.. but the money was just symbolic, Mexico had no choice but to sell the land because the US would have taken it regardless. similar to the Godfather movies where the Godfather offer you "an offer you can't refuse"!!!
