Should we change the term "illegal alien" to "criminal intruder"?

because once they cross the border they become criminals...

Answer:
Beautifully stated.and true.

From now on, I WILL refer to them as criminal intruders.

Makes sense to me!!

...to map... It is not a criminal offense? How ignorant are you? Check 8 USC 1325 (Entry Without Inspection/ Present Without Admission) and while you are there check 8 USC 1324 (Reentry After Deportation). Please show me your law books, I would be very interested in where you got your information. I guess I have been violating "Criminal Intruders" civil rights for the last ten years..wow. I hope Sharpton and the rest of his liberal posse don't come after me.

..to vdpphd.. come on down to the border and watch as groups of 100 to 200 criminal intruders sneak in. Your numbers may be published somewhere, but believe me they are incorrect. In one small Border Patrol Station alone, over 20,000 criminal intruders have been caught since October 1st 2006. What you read and what I see are two different things..don't always believe what you read, my eyes don't lie to me.
good idea
I prefer "deported".
No. We should not.
Politically correct too... I like it
It does have a nice ring to it!

Under the Castle Doctrine, you may presume any criminal intruder is there to do you harm, and you may use lethal force to protect yourself.
I prefer .. get a life.
Sounds kinda harsh. "Undocumented Criminal" has a kinder, gentler feel to it and it's fairly accurate.
no doubt that will be changed soon- these officials love to change rules, titles etc- to make more paper work- to baffle us all- whilst keeping themselves in work
Great idea, you have suggested it to you congressmen I hope.
No because being here illegally is not considered a criminal offense. A lot of people may not like that but it's the way the law is written. Illegal alien is more accurate.
wow, do you really sit around thinking stupid sh!t like this up all the time??

get a f**king job
Works for me.
But watch out for them calling you racist. You know that is what they cry whenever someone is against them.
No, because that description is inaccurate. Almost half of the people now in America illegally came in legally but stayed after their visas lapsed. There are at least a dozen different visa categories good for one or more entries into the US with some period of temporary stay. In addition, there are a number of bases on which a foreign citizen may enter the US with intent to remain without seeking US citizenship.

Any non-citizen who is present in the United States is an "alien." Those whose paperwork is in order are "legal resident aliens." Those whose paperwork is not in order are "illegal aliens" in contrast. Only those who sneak across the border, a subset of illegal aliens, are correctly described as criminal intruders.
Whatever you wish to call them is irrelevant if you don't have the means to stop them from coming.
One in the same but has a better ring to it.
I agree with you. They are breaking our laws. However, you will be reported by pro immigration supporters and your account eventually suspended for speaking against it. I know, mine was. You are not allowed evidently to speak against illegal immigration on Yahoo. Be Warned.
Good guestion
great idea
yes, i have always called them criminal trespassers myself, but it's all the same- they are just plain-criminals!!!
They should be called Enemies of the U.S. They have invaded our country, anywhere else in the world that would be called an act of war.
Kind of rolls off the lips and gets right to the heart of the problem.
