You do know that Hawaii is part of the United States, surely you do.
If you are serious about moving there, be warned.....it is very expensive to live. My son has lived on Maui for 8 years.... 1 bedroom 2nd floor apartment - $1200.00 per month.... Gasoline - 3.89 a gallon, groceries and other staples are 2 -3 times more expensive than the mainland.
Many young people move there thinking they are going to live in paradise......when they find out they actually have to WORK to live, they end up sleeping on the beach in a sleeping bag and panhandling to get enough money to go back home.
Most good-paying jobs require at least a high-school education and most require some college.
Immigrate? Typically you immigrate to another country, not another state. Or have you been asleep since 1959?
It's way expensive but I've heard California is, too. It sure sounds like fun and you can always come back, right? Do it and good luck!
You don't immigrate inside the United States, you emigrate. The California public school system has failed again.
Hawaii is part of the USA. You don't need to 'immigrate' there. You can just move, and the process takes as long as it takes to get there. The actual term is emmigrate btw.
You don´t "immigrate" to Hawaii, you "move" to Hawaii since you´re an American citizen and you would just be moving to another state. There won´t be any special process.
Honolulu is very overcrowded, I went there in 1990 and I can only imagine what it´s like now. The cost of living there is also very expensive.

what do you mean immigrate to hawaii, your an american citizen [i assume] you dont have to immigrate anywhere that is American, you might be referring to MOVE to hawaii, but yeah i recommend it if you like tropical places and fun nights out and no it doesn't take long to move there
You don't have to immigrate, you could just move there. It's a state, and a very beautiful one; or so i hear. I've never been there,unfortunately. But if i ever had the chance to go, i may never want to come back to Ohio. So if you have the chance to actually LIVE there, I'd say go for it. I'm sure you'll love it.
Which island are you referring to? If you mean the big island of Hawaii, it is not quite as crowded as Oahu. Whether you should move or not depends on what you want to do for a living once you get there. Although it is very expensive in Hawaii, a lot of jobs do not pay as well there as they do on the mainland. A lot of Hawaiians leave the islands just so they can make a living. For some reason living in Las Vegas is the dream of every teenager growing up in Hawaii.
When I lived in Hawaii, I had a tiny 2 bedroom apartment that ran me about $845 a month. And that wasn't near the ocean or anything. I once looked at an apartment in a high rise building overlooking Pearl Harbor... it only had one bedroom, and the bathroom was so tiny you either walked in or backed in depending on what you need to "do" in there. That apartment was around $1000 a month.
I would suggest finding a job first and then shopping around for a place to live. Make sure you will be able to live on the wages you will be making.
Hawaii is a state, Skippy. You pack your trash and move. I would think it best if you pack and immagrate to Siberia.

Just asking that question proves you should not MOVE to Hawaii. There aren't too many jobs, pay is low, housing is expensive. You'll end up working so much you won't even realize you are living in Hawaii. I know people that make 12,000 a month and still have a hard time living there.
