Yes, it is rediculous. The only way to stop this nonsense is to fight it at every turn. Speak your mind freely and fight for your right to speak no matter what you say. No one has a right not to be offended, but we do all have a fundamental right to free speech.
The Three Little Pigs were not banned. Some well-meaning but ultimately misguided individual thought that the pigs should be replaced by puppies in case it offended Muslims. Naturally, the local and national Muslim spokesmen said that this was just madness. N-one had asked them if their religion or culture required this to happen and they can't be blamed for the actions of some dotty headmistress in Yorkshire.
Both the Muslim and Jewish faith forbid eating pork, but they don't forbid singing about pigs or watching re-runs of 'Babe'. The decision was now been reversed when common-sense prevailed. Don't make the daily mail mistake of extrapolating individual and rather misguided decisions as having any sort of general application.
Hey why are you surprised!!!! the whole thing has gone PC crazy. I work in a social services office, you can't open your mouth without upsetting some twerp or other.
I had to take down my regimental plaque in case it upset some Asian social workers in the office!!! I was told if I didn't I could be disciplined!!!!

A large problem is white Anglos assuming they know what minorities feel. A lot of these bans were never sought by the groups whose sensitivities they are meant to protect.

I thought the Muslims couldn't eat pork. What has that got to do with the three little pigs? I don't remember them ever getting butchered at the end and fed to a family of four as Sunday dinner. Surely the pork in the local supermarket would cause more offence than a set of three talking pigs. I guess we should ban the Billy goats gruff too because Satanists sacrifice them. Or maybe the ugly duckling as it focuses too much on outer beauty which might cause anorexia in people in later life. How about just banning all kids stories and letting them watch the news instead?
what a load of bollix! my Parents bought me that book as a child growing up in Tanzania predominantly Islamic country not one person had a problem with my reading that book, its a flipping story for god sake I read it my daughter has read it and I'm sure my grandchildren will read it too!

When something like this occurs,why do the parents of these school children not get together and fight such nonsense.?? Unite together,stand firm until the stupid,ridiculous ban is changed!!
