Have you notice that the majority of the Catholics are from poor countries, like Mexico, Latin America, etc. And they were poor when they became converted by the Catholic Church many many centuries ago and today they are still poor. Ain't that a way the Church make their money from their ignorants and become what the Church is the richest organization in the world. I just wonder!!! Catholic church allows abstinence and Naturla family planning (both forms of birth control) As a 32 year old woman without children, I use the Nuva ring, and still belong to the catholic church, as many others do. Besides, the church has all knids of charities that combat poverty

well first of all that's just their beliefs. the catholic church has no control over who does or doesn't follow those beliefs. so no they aren't. the people who choose to follow that belief are to blame. how about looking at our government? they have billions of dollars to pay for a war and set up large bases with fast food places etc on them in another country but they can't feed the starving or house the homeless.

Perhaps the Catholic church would like to be the majority of the world's population as the hispanics would like to be the majority in the US. It seems like the same concept to me. The poverty is left for all of us to deal with. Now that I think about it, the hispanic invasion might be somewhat due to the Catholic church wanting to control the US. Especially since they think we should welcome all of them and provide for them. This certainly is causing a rise in poverty in the US. For citizens as well as illegals. And the Catholic church does give both food and clothes and also offers help in many other areas of life ... FOR FREE. Even the St. Vincent dePaul stores sell stuff only to raise money to give to the poor ... and they sell it at low prices so more people can get the things they need. Yes, I am a Catholic ... but have you ever 'heard' a Catholic force someone to 'listen to a religious speech or propaganda' before you can have your 'free supper' or go to bed on a mat on the floor? NO, because we DON'T DO THAT. That's why you may 'think' you 'know' what Catholic beliefs are ... but you DON'T KNOW THE WHOLE STORY. There are many Catholics who use birth control. I was raised in a Catholic house and many Catholics I know use birth control to avoid getting pregnant. This is a myth that the Hispanics have too many children is their religion. Sometimes is because the man feels that a condom makes him less of a man or if a woman uses birth control then she is a whore. It has nothing to do with religion but with the way some men feel.
