I went to school down there and came back to Canada, but now I'd like to return to the U.S. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions about how to get a job there. I'm familiar with all the visa options, but am just not sure how or who to apply to while I'm still living in Canada.

My husband is Canadian, and came on a H1B visa, provided by a job he found on one of the job search websites like Monster.com. (We're in the green card process right now, our interview with USCIS is next month.)
Post a resume on the job search websites, seek out assistance from the careers office at your school, use local newspaper sources in the areas you want to live in or professional organization-the same way you would normally apply. If you've got a university degree, and you're in the list of professions, you may be eligible for a TN visa, which is inexpensive, and renewable annually.
