Is it possible for the lawyer to make a delay in immigration court?

because i fille a pettion 1-130 for my son and still no answer.our case is in court he is in removal proceeding.

I do not believe a lawyer can delay Immigration Court. The I-130 petition can take a while. It is easier if your son has a clean record. I do not know the reason for your son’s removal. If he is charged with entry without inspection, EWI, or if he is a prior deported alien (second time or more remove from the U.S.) it might hurt the petition. If he has a clean criminal record the process will go faster that if not. If your son gets remove please tell him to stay in his home country until your petition for him gets approve otherwise you may risk the petition to be denied.

Also, if you are a U.S. Citizen he might qualify for derived U.S. Citizenship; check out the US CIS website at www.uscis.gov
