i don't know about Visa issues, however concerning jobs i believe that they would have the jobs which they have in other countries.

Jobs are going to be similar to those in most western countries and as for your visa status you need to address this issue with the Canadian Embassy or Consulate. I'm sure that if you want to change your status to student from visitor you will need to be enrolled in a Canadian university and have paperwork to prove it that you can bring to the immigration officials.
What do you mean what type of jobs? Surely they have the same proffesions as any other country? But Canada is very difficult to get into, they want you to have qualifications, clean criminal record, youth... Britain should be more like them.
