Poles bring Christianity, balancing religion, Family values, hard working people, taking jobs that it is difficult to find people to do.
On the down side Polish immigrants are prepared to work for less money so the rate of pay goes down along with the Job vacancies. This is caused by Poles thinking that the money they earn is great compared to Poland wages but the cost of living is very high here, as soon as Poles realize this they will demand higher wages and in so doing, rectify the downturn in rates of pay.
Poles need to learn to speak English, as in everyday life no people currently in the UK can speak any European language apart from: - Spanish, French and a little German, even those languages are sporadic. Take an example of the Asians, Chinese, Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, they have almost all learned English and prospered here in the UK for many decades.
The main drain on Uk resources and Jobs is illegal immigrants from other Eastern European nations not yet in the EEC.
Yes I do think their benefits outweigh any minor temporary disadvantages.
The world has become a global marketplace with workers migrating to explore new opportunities, the more this happens the more each country will become cosmopolitan in it's acceptance of cultures from around the world, maybe his will eradicate wars and racial tensions.
