My husband is a permanent residents of USA, he filed petion for me i want to know if how long does it takes?
Answer:
if all the requirememnts are ready and submitted properly,it will takes u less than a year to wait, but be sure you have no problem with medical otherwise your waiting will be extended for further medication.
it takes about 6 months for you to get you first interview
and usually about a month before that you'll receive your EOD
so you can work. Are you in US right now? there are a lot
of factors everybodys case is different so if one person says they got there's in two months ask another and they will say a different time. If all the forms were filled out properly and sent in
with the fee's you should have no more than 6 months till interview. But if they find mistakes or proper documents were not sent then they set yours aside and they do the next one and get back to yours later. Did he get notice that they received the forms? If so he should have a receipt number that is like this
XXX-XX-XXX-XXXXX that's just an example of the format but the first three in the sequence Identify the Center that's handling the case so it should be 3 letters and the rest are numbers. and if you go on there site you can type in that receipt number to check the status and it should say if its pending or it will give a date for interview but I would give it 6 months that's what it took to get my wife her interview and that was in January of this year so I'm pretty up to date on it.
What Country are you from? You sound Russian :) or from that region?
You can wait forever. In reality it depends of on your country of citizenship. Each country has different quotas.
