What will happen if these bill were passed for illegal immigrants?
Tonight in Annapolis, demonstrators are expected to show their support for a bill that would allow illegal immigrants to pay in-state tuition at Maryland colleges. But, there's another bill under consideration that would prohibit illegal immigrants from getting a drivers license in the state
Will there be more traffic accidents if we give the illegal license? Do you think it's fair to give these benefits to the illegals?

I'll try and answer the Drivers Lic first:
DL: There is a federal law (Real ID) that is requiring states to check that DL applicants are legal citizens before issuing DL's. I believe this law was passed because most of the 9-11 hijackers had MD DL's. As far as more accidents, I think that individuals without a DL will drive regardless. MD General Assembly is trying to establish that the Fed law is unconstitutional; that is that the issuing of DL's is a power delegated to the State and that the Feds have not say in.
Tuition: This law is purely to cully political favor with immigrant political groups (mostly Democratic groups), since MD is a Dem state and has been for at least 40 years. The only thing that it will do is decrease the amount of tuition received by state institutions, causing the taxpayers of the state to foot a higher portion of the bill in providing higher education for individuals who are in this country illegally.
