Why dont the Minutesmen work?

Why are you stuck on the Minute Men? They DO have other jobs, but take their days off to police the border each month.
The Minute men are volunteers that believe it is their right to protect their own land from what they believe to be a threat. If I was living on the southern U.S. border and had to deal frequently with people trespassing on my land and my government wasn't doing anything about it, I'd become proactive in protecting it also.
