If our country is brought to its knees?
Immigrants are fleeing their own homelands in droves in search of a better life here, in fact the indigenous people here are finding their own way of life is being eroded by shortages i.e housing etc.
What should be done is to somehow show them at source how to make their lives better. Maybe some of the people already here would then want to return home with an incentive!
If we sorted out immigration then maybe we could get to grips with our own youth problems and educate our own kids to a reasonable standard.
What do you think?
By the way: I apologise in advance if anyone thinks my punctuation or grammar is flaw
Answer:
You have hit the nail right on the head.
Immigration is not simply Nazis vs cultural enrichers.
It is many issues- overpopulation, native rights, culture, employment, finance, security, sovereignty, heritage, commerce, housing, education, health- and many many more.
It is a very poor Marxist and Keynesian argument that immigration is beneficial as they wrongly assert it will:
that the costs and obligations of hiring labour weigh too heavily on employers.
over-regulation (immigration control) prevents the free movement of labour so if deregulated costs to business would be reduced and more labour could be hired, thereby increasing employment opportunities and economic growth.
But the reality is this is false.
The real effect of deregulation/immigration is to reduce wages and conditions for workers with the effect of reducing market demand for products. In turn, the effect would be lower economic growth and a decline in living standards, with increased casualisation of labour and more "contingent labour".
Less wages= less consumer= a consumer economy in major trouble= debt= poor national savings/credit ratings= banana republic.
Why do Finland, Japan and Norway have such high standards of living and high wages? Very strict immigration.
Fact.
AHH AHHH JUST FELT AN ERGE TO SING THIS HERE SONG . NO HARM INTENDED!
Well a hard headed woman,
A soft hearted man
Been the cause of trouble
Ever since the world began.
Oh yeah, ever since the world began
A hard headed woman been
A thorn in the side of man.
Now adam told to eve,
Listen here to me,
Dont you let me catch you
Messin round that apple tree.
Oh yeah, ever since the world began
A hard headed woman been
A thorn in the side of man.
Now samson told delilah
Loud and clear,
Keep your cotton pickin fingers
Out my curly hair.
Oh yeah, ever since the world began
A hard headed woman been
A thorn in the side of man.
I heard about a king
Who was doin swell
Till he started playing
With that evil jezebel.
Oh yeah, ever since the world began
A hard headed woman been a thorn in the side of man.
I got a woman,
A head like a rock.
If she ever went away
Id cry around the clock.
Oh yeah, ever since the world began
A hard headed woman been
A thorn in the side of man.
they should get **** all to go back they just shouldnt be here full stop
If our contry is brought to it's knees, short people will be able to look over the heads of tall people for a change
well i think part of the answer is they dont come here , they must get help and sort out the problems in there own country.just how many people can you get in a lifeboat. ??????
Dont look for help from us when we have all the beggars here already!
there are so many problems in this country im suprised anyone sees this as a better life anymore.housing shortages, difficult to get benefits, lack of work etc etc. this country should stand up and try fight back
sounds good but I think it may be too late
We are a nation that has absorbed many peoples over the centuries and no doubt will continue to do so, but it should be down to the government to look at long term immigration problems, like as you said housing, schools, jobs. One thing i would say its that often the indiginous population that doesn't want the jobs that new immigrants will take on, like bus drivers, lavatory cleaners, hospital workers, like cleaners. Back in the 50's people came from the caribbean, many believing they would earn a decent living and return home. Most didn't and settled finally and moved up the social ladder, though that wasn't particularly easy, as is well documented, with racial discrimination and poor housing.
Some people come for a free ride, others because they are persecuted in their own countries, and others purely for economic reasons, to better themselves. How can we differentiate between them?
Women will go on their knees for $8 in Tijuana.
Soon they'll be in America doing it for $20 and wiring the whole amount to Mexico while American taxpayers will pay their living expenses via welfare.
Sad to disillusion you Trish, but Teddy is right. London Transport even had a recruiting office in Jamaica back in the 1950s, because pay for some of the jobs on London Transport was regarded that poorly by us 'Brits' we wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
Typical, everyone blames whatever they hook into as a reason for all of our ills, just like this junior member of the BNP.
If only they would learn to rant and rave in an intelligent manner. Yes, and pigs might fly...
The whole of the UK (and Ireland) has already been brought to its knee's. Why, we can't even drain away rain water any more because most of the land has been turned into a concrete jungle.
You make valid points trish....its a pity questions about immigration offer some a reason to slate others. Talking about immigration does not make one a member of the BNP! B.o.B above gives an excellent reasoned answer, to which most I agree with...
