If Mexicans who are in the U.S illegally, want a path to citizenship, why do they wave their Mexican flags?
Answer:
Because they have no loyalty to the U.S. and they don't truly want to be citizens, they want the benefits that come with citizenship and they want to make the U.S. a mexican country.
because they are stupid
Bush waves the Mexican flag and pledges allegiance to it in Spanglish.
Because we allow them to do it!
why are we not fixing these problem?
Multiculturalism & diversity is the reason.
because theyre lazy or stupid..or maybe both
Because they don't come here to become American. They come here to bring their country with them and turn the USA into a the exact thing that failed to support them.
They get Medical, Social Services, can buy property all without being a citizen, what's the benefit for them to become American:
Watch 30% of their wages go to support others
Having to work for food and benefits
Unable to run back home, change their name and come back to start over
Because they are very poor and want a decent life for themselves and their children, are willing to work much harder than the average American for very little pay in order to make that dream of a better life come true. Its by the grace of God that you weren't born in a poor country like Mexico, where children go begging in the streets for morsels of food. We have so much, and should be willing to help any other human being that needs it. Even if it means, heaven forbid, we have less for ourselves. Most Mexican immigrant aren't looking for a hand out, they're looking for a hand up and out of desperate poverty. Loyalty to their heritage is not a crime. By the way, I'm a European-American. And embarrassed we treat other humans inhumanely.
The question is not correct. The history of America is filled with such cases, from St Patrick' Day parades, to Italian-American Associations, to "Chinatown" areas in cities across the country. People in every part of the country celebrate where they were from, with first generation people having strong connections to the home country, second generation people having connections in both directions, and by the third generation they think of themselves as American first followed by where there ancestors came from.
What is happening with the influx from Mexico now is no different than it was with massive immigration at other times in US history. When the Germans showed up they spoke german and were treated as second class people. This is true for the Irish, the Italians, and every other major group.
It is also why there are many words in American English that originate from other languages (mafia being an example) and why there are German, Italian and yes, Mexican restaurants. No group "accepted" English or adapted immediately, it was a long learning process, and if you can find people still alive from immigration at Ellis Island, most if not all of them will still know much of the language from the old country.
Did you know this country is called the melting pot for a reason. So what you are saying is that just because they still have pride for where they come from, they shouldn't be allowed to be here?!?!? thats outragous. And for the people calling Mexicans lazy, stupid and other mean-spirited things, that is really un-called for. Try spending some time with some mexicans and you might learn something ;-) My experience is, my husband is Mexican and he doesn't go around waving his flag everywhere, we have one in our house, but his reasoning is that he is in America not Mexico. Now he still loves his country, but he does so in his home and doesn't have to show or prove it to everyone else. Infact, as I remember, I am the one that bought the flag.
Because what they really want is to take over the USA and make us their slaves.
I say deport ALL of them. And if they cross the border again, shoot them down !!!
i think youre pushing the line. and you forget that there is a irish day and a french day and many other days.
then you go and say everyone who waves an mexican flag is illegal? youre everything that's wrong with america. instead of blaming others for your short comings how about show youre country something so it can believe in you. because as of right now it doesn't
can anyone say..outsource?
