U.S. citizen applying for residency in Greece. Health insurance?

Hi, I am a U.S. citizen trying to get a 1-year resident permit to stay in Greece. One of the things that I have to do is provide a certificate that verifies that I have 1 year's worth of health insurance. Does it matter what type of insurance I have - Greek or American, or some kind of international insurance policy? Any suggestions for one that is not too expensive?

Thanks!!

Answer:
I would say it would have to be international or Greek. International is mainly used if you like to travel around a bit (so if you want to pop over to Italy to see a friend's wedding or France for wine every now and then go for that). Greek may be cheaper though.
