Why the US allow illegal/undocumented Immigrants to cross borders, work& pay Taxes?

Probably for the same reason Republicans let a pedophile be a Congressman. Why don't we put a statue of Marc Foley holding a jar of vaseline that would scare them off.
Government and big business become complicit with the perpetrators to create through lack of enforcement a law more like the one they couldn't get passed in our democratic process. However, WE who are victims of the situation, whose children's schools are failing from too many poor people coming without facilities to educate them and our own children in place, do not have a double standard.

Unfortunately, it's because a large percentage of the illegal immigrants are from Mexico and it is somehow considered racist to want to enforce our laws. And, most importantly, the Mexicans/descendants of Mexicans in the US carry a big stick when it comes to elections. At this point, it would be political suicide to try and stand up for the rights of our own citizens, as ironic as that sounds.
We just want people like you to be able to save enough money to be able to afford a spellchecker. Laughing my butt off about your "pay taxes" claim. Shelling out sales tax on beer and cigarettes does NOT constitute pulling one's weight.

Technically they don't allow them in, but they do give foreign workers temporary permits to work in certain industries as seasonal workers. Usually agriculture, or clamming or during oyster season. The gvmt tried to stop this practice, but the small businesses complained and said they'd go under if they didn't have the cheap labor, so to the best of my knowledge, the practice is still ongoing. Taxes - it's the small businesses that usually profit in that they withhold taxes from the pay, but then don't pass it on to the government.
There's also a whole lot of politics going on behind the scenes that we don't get to hear about. Clearly, if government really wanted them out, they could get them out.
Well first, they don't pay taxes. Second, that is what we are trying to stop. There are those, however, who would put border patrol officers in jail for doing their job and stopping these illegals.
