A. Mexican
B. Mexican-American
C. American
D. Other (if so, please specify)

*keep it clean*

Answer:
You are an american ( who happens to be of mexican ancestry )
American.

But as far as I'm concerned you can call yourself what ever you like. What do you feel like you are?
a, b or c what ever you want.
Assuming from your question that you live in the United States:

A. You weren't born in Mexico and you don't live there, so you're not Mexican.

B. "Mexican-American" is a term used to describe one's geneological lineage combined with current country of residence and is not a true form of nationality identification.

C. You were born in America, you live in America, so guess what - you're an American.
D- who cares
B or C or D= Chicano.
Well if you are legal you are just an American. You maybe of mexican decent but you were born in America so In my mind that makes you an American.
Well, I would guess you are a 16 year old American boy.

What you call yourself is totally up to you. Why should it matter what we think??
High school drop out ?
If you have to attach another country in front of American, then you are an UN-American. If you are an American you should drop the Mexican-American designation. You are no longer Mexican. Mexican is not a race it is a nationality. If your national citizenship is The United States OF America, then you are an AMERICAN, not a MEXICAN-American. You can't give your loyalty to both countries.

I am NATIVE American. "NATIVE " is not another country, if it were I wouldn't use it. It means my people were the first known people in this land, we are native to it.
chicano or mexican american
You are Gringo because you were born in USA, Mexican is a nationality.
Maybe I'm reading to much into the question but it seems maybe you parents are not "legal". If this is in fact the case, D. Other.

Other meaning "Anchor Baby".

BTW just because you were born in this country does not make you "legal" or a citizen.
E. product of illegal mother & father..
You would be an American ,Why should you be called by any other name than your own,Im Cindy,And your name is?
Mexican-American
You put American last, maybe you would feel more at home in Mexico.
Keep it clean! LOL! I guess you are whatever you think you are on the inside. But legally you are a US citizen and can call yourself whatever you like! You do seem to base your loyalties on your race, not country of birth. You should stand up for the rights of all legal citizens of every race. And of course support legal immigration.
D. Other - An American Born Mexican.

I'd say though, that your as American as any other American. At some point every American has their roots in another country. As for the Native Americans, they can only have got that name after the country was given the name 'America'.
Answer: C
You are considered an American. In order to be considered Mexican, you would have to have been born in Mexico and a Mexican Citizen. In order to be considered a Mexican-American, you would have to have been a Mexican National, and then moved to the US and gained citizenship, hence the term Mexican-American.

Calling yourself Mexican American is like me calling myself Irish-American, despite the fact that I was born in the US, and am by all means legal.
Are your parents "legal"??? If not, then neither are YOU!!!
But if your family are legal citizens, then that would make you an American, and as such, you should be PROUD to call yourself American!!!

I have always taken exception with people who claim to be German-American, Irish American, or whatever else American!@!!! (I have nothing against people being proud of their heritage, though)

To me, if you are a legal citizen, and you love THIS country, then you are an American!!! "American" is what the citizens of this country are called, and should be the ONLY name they use!!! I don't go around saying, "Hey, i'm a native indian/irish/italian/american"... Yes, i'm proud of my heritage, but i live in THIS country, i love THIS country, and i consider my self American. Americans are made-up of ALL different nationalites, yet we are ONE as an American!!!
OK, Mexico is in America and the United States is in America (north America) So either way your American. Now You live in the United States, so you are a United States Citizen, if you were born in Mexico, you would be Mexican.
.
You are an American.Unless you have dual citizenship with Mexico, there is no such thing as a Mexican American
your American. you was born in this country so you are American mexican. you seem to be intelligent for your age. i thought you said you was in collage going to law school, and you like to write poems? now you say you are 16 years of age? whats up with that serg?
Only your mother knows for sure.
Your Mexican American or Chicano
D human,thats all should matter.
Technically you're an American.
If you want to include Mexican-American, that's fine because you are, in fact, Hispanic/Mexican - - - But when it all comes down to it just remember that you're an American.
Don't forget which side your loyalty remains.
Mexican-American. Mexican by heritage and race, American by nationality.
