You may be right, but that goes in two directions. If you are referring to someone discriminating against immigrants, I don't believe I do. I work hard and have for over 30 years. I believe I made companies wealthier by working hard therefore I deserved and increase in wages. immigrants don't seem to care if they put a cap on my wages now or even lower them. They are hurting themselves because they are also putting a cap on themselves. To me it is walking over a picket line. I am being discriminated against. I am willing to share. I don't believe the immigrants (i should say illegal, which they are) are taking into considerations that we all had to wait to get where we are.
If I made money for that company I deserve part of their profit.
Nothing to do with discrimination - everything to do with legality. It is illegal to be in this country without a visa or going through INS. You must apply, go through the process, and be tested for communicable diseases (you realize that in a few years, TB will be at pandemic levels due to illegal immigration? They aren't tested and given the medication to supress the virus), and prove that you can contribute to our society.
Doing anything other than going through the INS process is illegal, and anyone doing that is a criminal. We shouldn't reward that - we should punish the criminals.
