Canadians living in the United States, why did you decide to move to the US?

Answer:
I'm not a Canadian, I'm married to one. My husband writes video games for a living, and while there are opportunities to do that in Canada, the opportunities for him to do that were much greater in the US. He was offered a job with a small video game company in New Jersey, who offered to cover all of his visa expenses for his H1B visa, and accepted it. When they were purchased by one of the largest video game companies in the world, he stayed with them, and is currently applying for a green card. (And to those who say "he married you for the green card...I've known him for ten years. If he'd wanted to marry me for the green card he would have done it much sooner.)

He also say that he likes the weather. I think he's just being silly.
They choose to move to the US because is harsh living in Canada. The health care is miserable - note the seriously ill spending their own money for care here. The economy is unstable. And the only way Canada can grow is to sell of pieces of their land much we have done with Asia. the only problem is the Canadians do not know how to manage a country for growth. The Socialistic leanings will drag it down.
dkarnz - I doubt that is why. I go to Canada often, and it is lovely there. I suspect they just like it here, meet nice people, find a good opportunity, and more power to them, so long as they are here legally.
