first "ruin our economy", second, they are "criminals", third "take our jobs"' among others. If an illegal immigrant was to be legalized, he (more like they, 20 million) would buy a home, car, groceries and pay their bills in what country, whose economy would that help? If an illegal immigrant was to be legalized during the process he would give his information to the goverment along with finger prints, now the process to catch him is now easier. And they "take jobs away" just a few months ago we hit a all time low in unemployment rate, so whose jobs are they taking? When was the last time you filled out an application at Mcdonald's? My question is, why can't it be easier to become "legal", not necesarily a citizen but just "legal"?
Answer:
Because it is ILLEGAL, OK? There are many ways to become legal in the US, more than in any other country in the world. So, study English, call the lawyer, go to uscis.gov, pay some money in fees and some federal taxes, and become legal. The only reason for being illegal is ignorance. It does not hurt to pray, but besides prayers, you need to do some action. Good luck.
