no...i don't think you are wrong...but you have to remember that the US was founded on the idea that we all have the freedom to choose our religion, etc... and there are plenty of native born US citizens who don't want to display the 10 commandments. now...i'm not saying that makes me happy, i find it really sad actually. but i AM saying i don't think this problem is totally related to immigrants. now as far as patriotism...i totally agree with you. i think you should be in the US because you love it, and if people don't support the US, then they should leave.

These illegals need to adapt to OUR way of life. You wanna speak Spanish? Stay in Mexico or keep it in your own home. Learn the language. They know where the border is.

Well, I agree that immigrants should adapt-- So many have over the years as that was the way to succeed in this country.
On the topic of the 10 commandments-- I disagree-- While I'm christian and belive in them, they have no business in a courthouse or public school.

No! You are not wrong! I'm so sick of illegals I can't see straight! I think it's a travesty what this world is coming to. Do you know the NAACP is trying to shut down one of the detention centers for illegals? They say it is inhumane. Bull$hit! The Oreilly factor went in to this center and it was more than nice. Everyone of them has a cot or bed. They provide school for the kids during the day. there are three meals a day. And the cell doors are never locked. Those people don't know what inhumane is! If it were up to me, they would build a twenty foot tall fence on the border and put grenades under the fence. if they still somehow managed to get over here, and get caught.....I'd put them in jail for at least 5 years.

immigrants have in the past had to learn our ways and were proud that they had a country that would let them have freedoms.but in America today we are the immigrants we have No Rights we must learn their language and their way of life while we work to support them while they get to live here tax free get free food medical and free homes and money I am afraid that this will never change the old ways of America and God whom our ancestors came to this country so that can have belief in a God fearing nation is gone.soon christens will be put to death for their beliefs just like the bible says and the atheists will rule America and no one will stand up to them as we have let these kind of people in our country and more everyday.

How do you know that immigrants are the ones that don't want say the pledge? Or show the ten commandments? You can fly an american flag anywhere with out a single complaint from an immigrant so I really don't know what you are talking about. The pledge, the flag and the commandments may be important to you but not to all americans. Either way, we're taking over (goggle- 40 million immigrants) so you must adapt.

As far as I can see illegals don’t mind displaying flags. Unfortunately, the flag they proudly display is THE MEXICAN FLAG, NOT THE AMERICAN FLAG!! Can you imagine the audacity of going to a foreign country and proudly waving the American flag around in the streets of a foreign country while protesting that country’s immigration policy? Unimaginable! No American would have enough gall to do that! But, last summer, hundreds of thousands of illegals were protesting in the streets of Los Angeles waving the flag of their home country, Mexico. I will never forget that image as long as I live!
We need to have a moratorium against ALL Mexican immigration (legal or not) for the next 20 years or so to give this country a chance to recover from the damage they have already done!

The 10 commandments isn't a legal document or part of the constitution. You don't have to say the pledge in order to be an American. How may native born people in the US say it once they leave grade school?
There are ways for immigrants to assimilate without being clones of you or me or anyone else born here. They can observe their native customs but still be American. They can celebrate Cinco de Mayo and also Thanksgiving.
There is no one, single "American Culture". If you look at our customs and traditions you see influences from Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America. The architecture in our nations capitol is inspired by the Greeks, we eat Italian food, we go to St. Patrick's Day parades.
There's no one religion. In this country you're free to worship virtually any way you want. Immigrants shouldn't have to choose from a list of "acceptable" religions in order to avoid being labeled as a non conformist.
I absolutely 100% agree with u. If some one wants to come to this country they shouldn't try to change the way we live or believe that should change themselves or stay HOME!!!!!!!
You're confused about your own rights, buddy. Nobody requires you to say the Pledge of Allegiance, show the Ten Commandments, or fly the flag in public. Why should illegal immigrants, legal immigrants, or anyone else for that matter be required to?
And if you're only talking about schools, courthouses, and other public buildings, then you're still confused. As many people have already pointed out, nobody is asking any governmental building to take down its American flag. Go outside - there are American flags all over the place. Give us one example of any building in the country that has been ordered to take down an American flag.
As for the Pledge and the 10 Commandments, there are quite a few people who don't want those in public buildings. But that fight has nothing to do with immigration! The vast majority of people who object to the Pledge and the 10 Commandments in public buildings are American citizens who object on religious grounds! What does that have to do with immigration?
