There are three set of components in the amnesty debate. First there is the elites, our election officials, Bush, Kennedy, Clinton's, the media, and others. The group has two subgroups, people that hold office and want amnesty so that the business lobby will fill their coffers for reelections, that includes but not limited to the entire congress and would be
candidates. This also includes Bush that want to get the Hispanic vote for the future of the GOP party. Next in the group is the good-gooders, this includes the likes of Ted Kennedy, Hillary, and the media. This amnesty feeds their ego's, and we know the media loves a sob story. The elites never have to live with the effects illgal immigration, they live in gated communities, they have carrees not jobs, and their children go to private schools, and god forbide if they get sick, their Doctors reserve a room in the hospitals, no going to the emergency room for their care
The second group is the illegals and their supporters, like La Raza, they just want to reunite their families here, escape poverty, without having to confront the causes in their real counties, and yes, they want a ticket to the welfare kingdom that amnesty will shower on them and their family here, and members that they will bring, legally and illegally. They also want to remake this country for their needs not ours.
The last group in this amnesty is the suckers like you and me .
Not only are we to pay for this social engineering, but if we even raise a objection, we are called racist by our own president. It is like getting rape, and we are told to just lie there and enjoy it

I hate the war, and many other things. What I say does not seem to matter, so in a way, I guess I am "getting played". Especially since I did not vote for Bush.
Everyone is getting played by the people in power. Look at the economy. The rich is getting richer and the poor...well you get the idea. They always play both sides so they can manipulate the outcome. How else can you have a outcome you want.

1st of all, amnesty is a B.S. term. The "Crime" thees people are committing is crossing a boarder in search of a better life.
Granted meny of them are poor workers, they are not criminals. Not at all. The current bill i'm aware of gives them a chance to become a citizen in 9 years if they register with the government, keep a job, pay taxes, and stay out of trouble.
Since we know there here, why not say that if you register with the gov and start paying taxes you can stay and start earning you citizenship.and if you don't/have not registered you get the boot. That's not amnesty.
I think its fair to the working poor that have come to this country. . because it separates them from the illegal crowd.meaning there probably going to be paid a little more.(before they worked for under minimum wage).

Here's how I feel, I think they are using this whole immigration thing to their advantage so you don't think too much about the war. There are 2 sides to immigration, the ones who want the illegals out (which is not going to happen) and the ones who think this reform bill is a good idea. but in the war, almost everyone wants us out of Iraq, including almost all of us Americans. So i best you stop thinking too much about illegal immigration and start thinking about what really matter, for example, the WAR that is making us look bad, killing out soldiers, and threatening the lives of Americans because that matters first.

i agree, the us citizens are getting shafted right now. Amnesty for these illegals will ruin this country. As citizens of the usa.. we have to follow laws and suffer consequences if we don't.. But now, the people who defend us are being prosecuted and the illegals are set free.. but the illegals are coming here and this country is exploiting them for their cheap labor. if this was any group of us citizens, everyone would argue and fight for better wages and benefits, but since they are illegals, its ok to exploit them. But i say, illegal is illegal. we need to stop the illegal immigration in this country...
