I am sick of "Political Correctness." I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa ; so how can they be "African-Americans"? Besides, Africa is a continent. It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a problem in having "In God We Trust" on our money and having "God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. Why don't we just tell the 14% to Shut Up and BE QUIET!!!
Anything that NAACP is behind is definitely NOT in the best interest of all Americans. Aligning themselves with La Raza is ludicrous. What part of "For the race everything, for all others nothing" Don't they understand? Maybe they don't realize that they fall under the "all others" catagory? Maybe they should ask the parents of the little girl in Carson, Ca, who was killed by illegals for being black.
Personally I am tired of all of these racist organizations that promote the agendas of "their" kind at the expense of every "other" kind.
Either be an "American" and ONLY an American or get out and go somewhere else.

Cite please? You are giving some broad generalizations. You need some facts, then we can respond.
I think the issue is more complex than that. You are talking about many different groups of poeple. Not all African Americans think alike or want the same things, especially when it comes to the issue of immigration. Nor do all Latinos think alike.
For example, we know that Latino immigrants are suffering some of the same discrimination and treatment that we did fifty years ago, so they would benefit from our experience. Many of us want to give them a heads up on the real deal in this country.
But on the other side, you will find some unskilled African Americans who feel threatened by Latino immigrants taking jobs at a lower pay. Those of us with skills and education do not have that issue. There are some African Americans who disagree withn illegal immigration for the same reasons as other Americans.
You will find some Latino immigrants who want to have solidarity with African Americans and others who do not. Some Latinos value our experience and want the help, others do not want to be associated with people they think are inferior to them. (Yes, Latinos can be racist, too)
Then there is the media who keeps up the divide and conquer strategy, Plus, these two groups are political activist groups, they do not represent all the people. It is impossible to say whether the groups should be alligned or not.

MECHa and La Raza are racist groups. Amnesty is WRONG and all ILLEGAL alien criminals should be deported. THEY ARE BREAKING THEY LAW AND ARE CRIMINALS!
It is in the best interest of everyone to support illegal immigration. People who don't are losers.
LULAC gets upset when a" word " is said in the media public and then they try to keep from having that word said again. NAACP takes "action" when civil rights are violated and they correct the problem. LULAC is a joke. Give me NAACP anytime. I am Mexican-American.

You may fool some of the token few blacks. The majority of the blacks will never forget what white Americans did to black people.
I think they should be in solidarity with our brown brothers and sisters.

like all power bases the NAACP is not listening to their core constituents. The black americans I know do not like the illegals as they have been replaced by the illegals in the number 2 slot (that they held for years) and they now see their standard of living being diminished. many have told me they would join the klan if it would help get rid of the illegals. That blew me away...
