There is nothing that an American citizen WON'T do. But, there are jobs that have had the wages suppressed so severly by illegal immigration, we can't AFFORD to do them.

I love the idea and believe that in order to draw welfare (if able to work) a person should be required to take a job that is available. Jobs such as janitor at a court house or government building or refuse handler on the streets of the US.

The term "jobs Americans don't want" is just a lame excuse to keep parasitic illegal immigrants in this country and leaching of the tax payers. The fact of the matter is that if the "jobs Americans don't want" all went away, those jobs are not important enough to significantly hurt the economy. Sure we might pay a little bit more for produce or have to clean our own office or mow our own lawns, but the result of kicking illegal immigrants out of the U.S. would result in at least a 65% drop in the murder rate and an eventual 75% drop in identity theft. It would also help save social security and welfare, and it would probably actually end up helping our economy.
Legal Americans in need, are entitled to use of the welfare system.There are many children and family's that need that helping hand.Illegal aliens that get welfare for their anchor babies should be cut off from that service.The 14th amendment needs to be repealed.Close that loop hole.

Illegal aliens are NOT doing work Americans won't do. What jobs won't Americans do? In most states, Americans still clean their own houses, do their own landscaping, clean hotel rooms, work in restaurants and fast food places, paint houses, DO CONSTRUCTION WORK, meat packing plants,slaughter house workers ,work in airports, etc. - just like we have the past 200 years before "our" government allowed these people to invade our country. There are 18 million Americans who cannot find a job, so illegal aliens who are coming here to work do so at peril to American workers. Because they will accept lower wages/working conditions/no benefits is the only reason the company's are hiring them.The company's are committing a federal crime by hiring the illegal aliens.
Many of these people think people are on welfare for life just sit back and let the money roll in. When you can only collect welfare for a total of 60 months in your life time.In general people say our poor have to suffer,it's their fault they are disable and sick,it's their fault they have a medical condition.Apparently Americans are not allowed to be poor and hungry and pro legal call's for human rights but bash and degrade our poor and hungry as being on welfare all their life
I am a firm believer in the reduction in welfare....as Americans, we know hard work never hurt anybody.... I think every able-bodied person on welfare should be made to take a job making a liveable wage....this does not mean I would throw them to the wolves the first month they worked tho.... I have often wondered if this may be our governments way of keeping them "enslaved" under the governments thumb! I think the billions being spent on illegals could be put to a better use helping Americans - those on welfare & the working poor...and I do mean helping them up not keeping them on the dole....

I agree with DZE. Try getting people off welfare who enjoy the free ride. I know lots of people who are on welfare and they tell me they don't want to work cause they know they can stay on welfare and get a free ride.The more babies the more money.

Most people answering your question seem to think that the only people on welfare are illegal immigrants. And that is completely not true. There citizens on welfar, and all for different reasons.
The illegal immigrants don't make the wages what they are. Employers decide what they are going to pay. There are many homeless citizens that wont do the job for minimal pay, wont live in a less than great home, so who's fault is it they are homeless. Immigrants illegal or not do what they have to in order to keep their families with food on the table, and a roof over their head. And if that means working 10 hour days, and being paid less than minimum wage then that is what is going to be done.
So don't blame illegal immigrants for the decisions made by "American Citizens" Everyone has choices in life, and if you would rather be homeless, and beg for money, than working for a better life, even if it meant working in the fields, then quit complaining and blaming others for what you are doing with your life's.

The majority of these people are U.S. citizen that are just plain lazy, yeah I'd to see them come clean my kitchen, watch my kids, brick my house, put on my roof, lay the concrete for my drive way, wash the dishes in the restaurant I eat at, make my food at restaurants, & drive me around. Two biggest Processing plant in Dutch Harbor--- Unisea & Westward has to go on Recruiting Hiring thru-out Washington, California, Nevada just to hire their quotas. In 2000 thru 2004 they sponsor Somalians workers, because Americans do not want to do this type of work. 95% of the processing workers are immrigrants. Americans do work on Crabbing Boats(but you have overlook
criminal record).
During sick calls, EMT do take vitals when Doctor visit the Plants. 50% of sick calls are Americans even thou they only represent 5% of the workforce.
These jobs pay $7.15 to $10.00, but they work 12 to 18 shifts everyday for about 90 days. Room & Board is taken care of.
College Students try to work these jobs, but after the first week, they calling the parents for money to fly home. You get free ticket to Seattle after you complete 1500 hrs.
If was not for these immgration workers they would not enough fish & crabs for the lower 48 states. These are jobs Americans do not want.
