Is there any way someone in the US Illegally for the last 5 years can become legal other than marriage?

Been here 5 years, never left, speak french and english fluently, smart, have some skills, willing to pay a penalty, taxes, whatever.

Answer:
just stay here illegally and wait for amnesty. its coming summer 2007
Return to your home country and then go through the hoops to return legally.
Join the military. After successfully completing your tour of duty, you can apply for citizenship.
Join the military.
Never mind, if you are French then go home, we don't need losers in the Military.
Call immigration. If you're willing to go through the process to become legal, they'll tell you how.

Why did you not enter legally to begin with?
Go through the proper channels like the other immigrants or complete a tour of duty in the US military.
Join the military.
I think only marriage can waive all the immigration law that you had violated.
Unfortunately not that I am aware of. Once you leave the country you will be automatically banned for 10 years and ineligible to recieve a visa for that period of time. Only spouses are able to file the waiver of inadmissability to lift the 10 year ban, but that doesn't mean you should get married just for the papers. Immigration is very good at sniffing out the frauds.
First, you can't join the military. To join you need to be a citizen or have a Green Card.

There's no way I know of to legalize your status. Even marriage doesn't guarantee you a visa and Green Card.
Go through the normal process to become a citizen like MILLIONS of other immigrants did!!
I hope not
Marriage (even for love) to a USA citizen does not guarantee that you will become a legal allien. You came here illegally that is the principal point ( not your marriage). You will have to sit and wait for an amnesty.
