On my passport application, can i use a sin card as a supporting document?
Answer:
If its one of those cards with Jesus or Mary on it that is hung in cars,I guess so..It seems to be good enough documentation for everything coming up from south of the border
Sin card?
Is that something you buy in Las Vegas?
whts a sin card?
Only if it's one of the seven deadly sin cards.
Hi. I am assuming by "sin" card you mean your social insurance card(number). If you go to the Canadian passport site you should be able to click on a link to tell you which forms can be used. I am a Canadian living in the States and I will be going to renew my passport before the end of the month. Good Luck to both of us, lol. I hear they are a bit behind right now.
They probably require your SIN number anyhow.
Birth certificate, photo ID of any kind, driver's licence, etc. can also be used.
I don't think you can use SIN card as a supporting document to apply for a Canadian Passport. Birth certificate, Citizenship card and other Photo Id's can be used. SIN card is not accepted with Immigration Canada as a supporting document and It's mostly used for the revenue Canada, employment Insurance and credit purposes.
