Does domestic partnership grant immigration rights to the United Kingdom?

I hold a British passport and am thinking of moving to the UK next year. My domestic partner does not have an EU citizenship - we have been partners for 4 years and have the documents to prove it (her work place required us to sign documents back in 2003).

I wanted to know if domestic partnership grants any immigration rights to heterosexual partners. If I get a job offer in London, will she be able to join me and find a job legally there?

I know in the US one has to be legally married, while in the Netherlands domestic partnership is sufficient. Couldn't find the english regulations.

Thanks a lot

Answer:
If you and your partner live outside of the EU then your domestic partnership is not legal ground for her residing in the UK.

You rather need to apply for a Fiance VISA come to the UK, marry within 6 months and then have her apply for 'Leave to Remain'. At this point she could work and receive benefits.
