Generalizations and Immigration?

Some people believe that each immigrant should be judged as an individual but others believe that whole groups of immigrants should be treated equally, e.g. ban all people under six feet tall because on average short people are less intelligent, ban all overweight people for the same reason, ban all religious people, and so forth.

Do you think there is anything wrong with this profiling or should immigrants be treated as individuals?

Answer:
They shouldn't be judged, period! Personally, those generalizations are just plain asinine and I just can't see what treating immigrants as individuals is going to accomplish.
illegal should be treated as criminals...all of them....
If you are not here leagl then you need to get the hell out an quit liveing off hard working americans tax dollar
illegal immigrants are criminals and should be treated as such, regardless of what country they came from, the color of their skin, their relatives in the USA, their religion, their height, weight or education or other qualifications or lack thereof. We certainly don't need anymore well-educated criminals living and working in our country. We have enough of them in our government today.
What part of ILLEGAL don't you understand? There is nothing illegal about being overweight - not healthy but it's legal.

These illegal alien criminals are not IMMIGRANTS because they are not legal. They are criminals for breaking the law.
Illegal immigrants are breaking our immigration laws, they need to be looked at as one in the same, there is no good reason for being here illegally.
We do treat each immigrant as and individual, when they take the time and do the process of legal immigration.
If they come here illegaly, they can't complain about being treated like a group. If you are out of the system then you should be removed or put into the system ...at the end of the line. So you can experience being treated as an individual.
I think we can make whatever laws we feel like making. For example if we feel our culture has skewed too far in one single direction due to illegal immigration and want to balance it by going the other direction, we are free to do that. We have every right to enforce immigration that lets our home stay the kind of place we want to live.

There is no 'right' to come here from somewhere else.
