Immigration Amnesty?? I am sooooooo upset!!?

So am I! And what I find amazing is how many in the US totally support amnesty and don't even begin to understand the fundamental economics of it!

SOMEBODY has to pay, and it isn't going to be the guy who earns $5 a day to pick strawberries. It isn't going to be the lady who earns $15 a day to be a nanny to some rich brat... It's going to be US! ALL of us!
Even those of you who don't contribute to the tax base will have to pay--you will suffer a sharp decline in services because there will be less $$ available for the programs you rely on.
America does not have limitless resources! The US as a nation is already in an extraordinary amount of debt, as are a huge portion of its citizens--we literally cannot afford to permit amnesty for illegal immgrants as individuals, and certainly not as a country! (For those of you who feel everyone is entitled to their "fair share" of America's success, consider how much are you contributing to it--or are you being supported by others' hard work?)
I don't argue that many illegal immigrants are hard workers in search of a better life, but they are here ILLEGALLY! Can I walk into a bank and just take however much money I want and simply walk away? NO! There are consequences for breaking the law! I would be fined and sent to jail, and I would have a black mark on my record for life.
But what if I'm given amnesty on that bank robbery... Do you think it will deter others from doing the same thing? NO!
Opposing illegal immigration has nothing to do with racism! I don't care what color your skin is--if you come across our border LEGALLY, want to contribute to our great nation, and want to become a citizen by legal means, you are welcomed with open arms!
But if climb over that fence in the dead of night, allow yourself to be exploited (those companies have GOT to be fined BIG TIME!), take over our schools and hospitals, skip paying taxes, and send all your earnings back home, you are here ILlegally and have broken our laws! ILLEGAL immigrants are criminals.
Criminals suffer consequences--they pay fines, do time and community service, and are treated more harshly on additional offenses.
Let's STOP the "catch and release" practices. Let's enable our border guards to do their jobs. Let's fine the bejeezus out of companies and individuals using illegal labor, and let's STOP ILLEGAL immigration!
Citizens care, politicians don't. There have already been tens of millions of voices coming out against amnesty. The question is, will Congress listen to them?
I agree for many reasons. The truth is simple. Large corporatins such as del monte and other large farming companies are lobbying congress to do nothing about illegal immigration. Why? They need the workers to work in jobs that they say americans will not work in. They also like paying them next to nothing and not having to pay benefits and things like that. You find large companies in farming, construction, tourism and others lobbying hard to make sure that the flood of illegals continues because they are in fact bringing them here. If there were no companies wanting them here, they would not come here. They come here for the jobs. So, we have to figure out a different approach. I say prosecute the companies that recruit illegal workers and you will see the demand go way down.
Write, (or e-mail) your congressmen & senators, they are not acting in the best interest of the US citizens and they figure we will just swallow this pill like we always do.
What "THE LAW" above me says is true, this is a way to keep modern day slavery active at the expense of our security, tax base, healthcare and identity.
Well, they said this about the Irish, the Jews, the Poles, the Chinese, the Germans, the Italians, the Russians, the Hungarians, and the list goes on. Every one of these groups has enriched this nation beyond all others. The Mexicans we get are the ones who want to work harder than their own nation will allow them to.

How is it going to ruin our country? Because because America won't be lily white? I think that they should deport all of the illegal aliens. I just think that they should come here legally. I get disgusted when I hear how Americans take advantage of the Mexicans by hiring them for cheap labor because they cant get any other job. My father in law needed someone to do some yard work, so he went down to a certain corner & "picked up a couple of Mexicans" to do the work for cheap labor. I am shocked how many people do this.
Well people (Democrats) want to care about how the illegals feel not that there doing something wrong as long as they feel good about themselves. Plus if this bill passes ( I hope not) in a few years the left wing will have 12.5 million new vote on there side and they will gain the power they need to make anyone who has a job minus themselves to pay and pay and pay. The democrat party believes the illegals will become a huge voting block for them, like the dead people they get to vote. The republicans are thinking that they are protecting the business interest of big companies that hire the illegals. Both parties are putting political interest ahead of the interest of the nation and true American Citizens.
I think the way this thing has been exposed, not being allowed to sneak through will have a huge impact on public reaction.
America slept while the government gained power. The power they have far exceeds what they have the sense to handle. I feel shafted since the patriot act. They don't have a clue who is going over the fence, but they probably heard what you had for dinner last week during the conversation with someone on a cell phone.

Why don't more people care? First, I am sure a lot don't care. But caring is not going to force politicians to do something about the illegal population here. Americans used to have a say in what happened in the government. These days, our voice is but a whisper compared to all the whining illegals who want us to print all materials in Spanish as well as English ( what happened to the days when immigrants were proud to come here and become citizens, not just take what they could get here and send it "home"?), teach their children in Spanish ( heaven forbid they all learn to speak English).
And even if we did all call in, which I support, what are the chances that they will listen and vote according to what the majority of us want? They do what they darn well please.
It is not a matter of the general public caring, it is a matter of the government not caring how we feel. They see the threat from far away, but do not see that this country is being taken over.

Email your congressmen/women. A lot have, that is why they are delaying the vote. The more people email the more attention they will pay, especially if you tell them their vote on the bill will dictate who gets your vote in the next election.
I can't understand why our Politicians refuse to listen to American Citizens.
The American People do care but it seems that many would rather sit around and complain about it then be proactive.
I have written my legislators.I say we form a walk out of our own. When the illegals held their walk out and some business's closed in my town I decided to boycott them and send them a message, however i know that although people were upset about it they went back to those same places of business and continue to do business with them it makes me sick to know that just because it might be more convenient they will continue shopping at these places. I would much rather drive another block to another store than give these traitors my money.
When I see my neighbors gardeners who are illegal pull up i just want to scream and I wonder do they know that the few bucks that they may be saving are ruining us as a country.
I am even contemplating leaving her a letter on her door letting her know what she and millions of others like her have done to our country.
I will never hire an illegal or buy fruits and vegetables from one on a corner it's bad enough i have to buy from the grocery store knowing they were hired to pick the stuff but i can't even imagine handing them a dollar.
