I feel badly that they are not given many of the "freedoms" or opportunities that we get in the U.S., but I do not feel bad for them when they skip the boarder and work for 10 dollars an hour the rest of their lifes.
I think the following is the answer to our problems:Bring our troops home from Iraq, to guard the border. When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq . Tell him if he wants to
come to America , then he must serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it. After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country. He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot. This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq, and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves. If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo. Problem solved.

Yes i do, because its not their fault on where they are from, and they are just trying to get better jobs, and lives to provide for their family. Yeah i know they do it illegally but sometimes that is the only option. Its not like their killing, raping, people. They are just trying to get by like everyone else. I have compassion for all living things. That doesn't necessarily mean I agree with the reasons why things happen or why people do things. Judgements of right and wrong should be based on individual circumstances.

I can understand their wanting to come to the U.S. If I were living a life of abject poverty in Mexico, for example, I might try to come here myself. More than 100 years ago, European immigrants came into the U.S. in an orderly fashion, processed through places like Ellis Island. The same procedure should occur now.

No, unless you came here with legal papers and some snafu let your visa expire or didn't renew. Illegal immigrants are criminals. They came here of their own free will and with intent to cross our borders illegally and work illegally and break other laws. That's called premeditation.
I don't buy that illegal aliens come here for a better life -- not for one minute. If they wanted a better life, they could have it in their own country if they were willing to take the same kinds of actions in their own country as they did in coming to the USA. They are an invasion force and they have successfully hoodwinked our government and a lot of other people in the Country who are now just beginning to realize how much they have to pay for looking the other way or winking at our immigration laws.
If they wanted to come to the USA for a better life, they would learn the language, not demand that we learn theirs. They would pay their way, obey the laws and be model citizens. Instead, they march in our streets, demand preferential treatment and send the majority of their money back to their country of origin while collecting benefits that should belong to law abiding American Citizens and legal immigrants.
