If an American moved to Mexico, Canada, etc. they would be bound by that country's laws and pay their taxes. This is not illegal immigration. Nobody is saying "you can't come to America", but if you do immigrate to America, you need to follow the same laws as the rest of us and pay the same taxes to be granted the same rights as the rest of us.
Because the United States of America is a greater country than those you listed.

As this country has so many immigrants I think it would be great if we treated each immigrant with the same laws that we would be treated in their country...In Mexico we would not be allowed to buy land or hold a job...we could retire. So the same hospitality should be extended to them... Do this with each country..seems simple to me..no discrimination.

Illegal immigration of poor people who CANNOT pay their own way in education and other services poor people use is ruining our schools and services for our own people. All of the rest is just noise to disguise that fact.
Let me tell you this, America is a mixed place, everyone is from another country. So they should be allowed to move back to their original home.
I'll answer with a question. Why is it all about the "Me" syndrome. You should have to conform to the country that you are going into. That does not mean give up your culture and religion and traditions but it does mean, if you want to succeed in that country, learn their language and follow their laws and politics. You don't necessarily have to agree but you must assimilate.
What is all this talk about skirting our laws??? Do laws mean nothing to you? There isn't another country I would rather live in than the US. And...if I did decide to go to one...I would do it LEGALLY. And no...if I did get there illegally....I would not expect the same rights as citizens of that country.

Well if they moved to one of those countries, they would probably do it legally, and be entitled to those rights after a while. The illegal immigrants sneak into this country instead of going through the legal channels.

How about this.....when you go to a country illegally, you should be kicked out. After all, it is ILLEGAL! If you want American rights, then come to this country LEGALLY! Just because your country sucks and you don't want to live there anymore, doesn't mean you can break our laws and come into this country. Get on the waiting list and come here legally. If you come here illegally, you deserve NO rights.
Illegal aliens are illegal no matter where they come from or what country you are in illegally .The illegal American deserves to be arrested and deported from whatever country he is in illegally.Just as ALL illegal aliens in the USA, need to be deported.No amnesty's,no exceptions.Arrested and deported back to the country they came from.
If you are illegal in Mexico its a felony and you could get not only arrested but robbed,raped,beaten and even killed if caught.

Hell no they are not granted the same protections!!!! I had lived the past three years in Mexico and before that 7 years in Japan and let me tell you its not a fair 2 way street. Japan will NEVER grant full citizenship to a foriegn born person under no circimstances is a non Japenese give citizenship or the benefits that come with it. Zero Zip nada!! it does not happen!! And Mexico so many gringoes are murdered beaten robbed defrauded and swindled that its just disgusting to say the least.. and whats worse is that when a gringo gets royally screwed in Mex our OWN gov does ABSOLUTLY NOTHING to help gringoes who have been beligerently wronged by Mexicans in Mexico. So when a Mex legal or illegal comes here and just starts DEMANDING benefits privillages rights protection welfare money free health care housing jobs the right to OWN property amnesty for crimes etc etc etc at my tax paying expense I take great offense at the nerve these immigrants dispaly. it is such a slap in my face that I AM ANGERED BEYOND ALL CONTINENCE how dare you come here and just DEMAND EVERYTHING under the sun and drain our resources!! Please don't take this as an attack of any sort, its more of an explanation of what you don't see. Immigrants, illegal or otherwise, don't always demand the rights you say they do. Otherwise they wouldn't be working the jobs they do for minimal pay, they wouldn't go without health care, they wouldn't be living in poor conditions. All they wish to accomplish is a better life for their families, and if that means working 10 hours a day, for less than minimum wage, than that's what will happen. Many immigrants don't complain about their living conditions to their landlords, because what they have is preferable to living in the streets, they don't complain about their jobs because having some income is preferable to not having the money to feed your kids. You seem to be looking at what a small part of people are doing and applying it to the whole group, when you don't see even half of it, because they don't make their voices heard for fear of losing what they have, little as it may be.
