God gave us the brains to get off of our lazy rear ends and get an education and make a living. We shouldn`t need to be taken care of unless we are disabled.

it is all about motives.... what ever happened to those starving children in Africa that my parents always used to bribe me to finish eating my dinner... aren't they still starving? however, there are not any motives for "helping" people in Africa... there isn't enough oil there...
most people aren't getting your point here... it isn't that you want to be taken care of and be lazy, but rather that there are enough problems in America (i am assuming) that the government should concentrate more on meeting the needs of the existing peoples rather than the people in other countries. in the end, the people of America will end up with the short end of the stick...

The UNITED STATES is a great nation - whether people believe it or not. When others have been in need and war, who's been there to help? US. Someone has to be the one to step up and do good for this world - and if it has to be us, so be it. I support doing things for the better of this world.. We're all we've got.

I doesn't really make any sense. In order to take care of the world we need to ensure that the next generation is smart enough and in good enough shape to be able to do that and no one in power seems to realize that.

I have to say I agree with you! If we weren't sending soooo much money out into the world to help people who, 9 times out of 10, would just as soon nuke us to oblivion, we could have one of highest standards of living in the world for ALL our citizens; more education (the key to everything); less poverty & unemployment, etc. So many things!!! I'm not totally against foreign aid, but we need to care for those in our own backyard in this big wonderful USA before sending all our extra supplies and help everywhere for a little political nookie nookie. Let's be a shining, awesome example for the world before going out and trying to convince them through gimmee programs or beating them in the head. Lead by example. Let them see how wonderfully our democracy actually works!
you are right we can't even solve our issues here at home I thought we should lead by example we need to close our borders feed our Hungary heal our sick and teach our children and be able to make enough money so you can afford to get old.
Our government does not listen to the American voice whatsoever.
It would be nice if our government would listen to the people and make Medicare drug plans easier for our elderly to understand. Instead we are being lead into some mind game that suggests that criminals from other countries are entitled to more then those that are citizens and loyal. Some of them are even veterans,who went to FIGHT for this country!!! And yet, our government would rather help ILLEGAL aliens, than OUR own people!!! How MESSED UP is that???
I remember, several years ago,my family and i went to the state fair in Phoenix. On one of the streets we turned down, there was a soup kitchen, and i will NEVER forget what i saw there!!! It was in Oct/Nov, one of those months, and i remember it was COLD that evening!!!! And, ALL around this building, there were homeless people!! Some were huddled in cardboard boxes, trying to get warm. There were even familys with little children!!! All of them, waiting for what would probably be their ONLY meal of the day!!!!
Our government won't help our own people, but then turn around and give ILLEGALS anything they DEMAND!!!!
