If I wrote the bill, I could also devise a legalization plan I could support, with stricter screening for twice illegals and no gang members. However, it would come only AFTER border security, A VISA EXIT TRACKING SYSTEM, employer verification, banning sanctuary cities and denying all benefits except emergency health care to new illegals who came in the future. We need to severely constrain the flow before we enter into a legalization that will only spur many more to come, in my opinion.
However, I'd scrap the guest worker program going forward, entirely.

Shouldn't we first resolve the racial problems we have instead of continuing with an immigration policy that will double our population and risk exacerbating an already increasing tendency in our country toward group identity politics??
Those who fear racial conflict or the rise of fascism should support, as we do, an immigration time-out in order to take a breather, reassess what we are doing, and give the assimilation magic time to work.

well, you deserve it. your fighting for a cause which you do not know clearly. right now, the soldiers in iraq are not fighting for iraqi's security. they are protecting the bases where they pump oil, they are protecting the pipelines that transfer the oil, all of which is being stolen (without the conscent or approval of the people) from the iraqis. in the end of the day, i dont give a crap about them, but if you try to tell me that you are justified, i stand up for humanity, i stand up for human rights, i stand up for justice; and i will tell you NO you are not justified.

I see you are being accused of changing your position, most people never take the time to find out what a persons position is, by defending others against the bashing done here they "assume" one is "pro" illegals... while I do not believe a fence is the answer we do need to close the border, and then fix what we have, and mass deportation is not the answer. And YES the exportation of US jobs to me is much worse to our economy the a bunch of people doing mainly entry level work. Sorry about the hate mail.. it comes with the territory.
