Citizenship...?

is it possible to be a citizen of more than one county on a permanent basis? Like is it possible for me to be a permanet resident of both the US and Japan?

Answer:
Only if you are hot japanese chick!!!..
You'd have to ask Japan. If one of those was due to birth, unless you declared your intent to not be a US citizen you would still be one. Some other countries still only allow one citizenship and require you to give up your other citizenship, first.

Frankly, I think we should too, and that the Supreme Court was wrong on that point, but there it is.
...of course! now there are dual citizenship available. but perhaps it depends on the country, if they allow dual citizenship.
Some countries do allow dual citizenship. Others make you renounce your citizenship when you become a citizen of another country.
