LMAO ... it took 26 countries to join the EU before they could match the USA's economic prowess. To consider the EU a benchmark in anything is laughable. The Mexicans can't even handle the corruption and economic failure in their own country ... why would we voluntarily let then come here to destroy our system of government?
We built and pay for the schools and services poor people use but are too poor to pay their share for. We cover most of their cost, so we have to limit how many poor people we let in. Illegal immigration is ruining our schools and services for our own people by draining funds and overcrowding facilities from schools to hospitals.
Their better life is at our expense, and worst, at the expense of our own children's education.
The EU has rules as to who can join. SOme of the rules are about human rights and financial stability. Under their rules there are no Countries South of the US borders that would qualify for admission to the EU or to any Coalition the US would agree to. WHy would the US want to take on all the corruption, poverty of third world countries? Most of the problems South of THe US border are caused by Government Corruption which has been present since the birth of these countries. Mexico has had one failed revolution after another as have most of all central and south american countries.
