How long does the SSN takes to be issued?

It is supposed to arrive in "45" days... but are those "45" days really 45 days?

Answer:
Normally you get the SSN in one week time after you submit all the papers.
Any more now, you get it BEFORE you are even born, because a child born in a calendar year is a legal tax deduction.
