Why do many americans take no responsibility for the human rights of illegal immigrants?
It's not about whether or not your in favor of illegal immigration, it's about whether you handle it with compassion or sheer racism.

Well if you want to go on the law side of the argument, they did break the law by immigrating illegally. Technically they should be put in jail.
But, there is a good reason they came here the way they did. Many other countries simply do not have enough jobs to support their people, so these people come here looking for a better life. Personally I feel that our laws need to be changed to make immigration easier for people who need to come here. And Americans need to end their predjudice.

I have nothing against illegal immigrants. My beef is with the people hiring them. If you want to work in our country, go through the right channels. It's not extremely difficult to get a work visa.
no....many of the human rights we provide is not available in other countries. because they dont want to become a citizen, they are not entitled to these rights. they live here ILLEGALY! so they are against the law. if they go for a green card or for citizenship, then they get the stuff. Even though they are illegal immigrants, america has agreed to allow illegal immigrints to go and get one without prejudice. They just choose not to go
You are setting up things where there are only two choices. This suggests a rigid thought process on your part.
No racism included.....IF...one breaks the law and being illegal in this country clearly defines a crime...then...liablity as far as rights go is rescinded. Which brings along another point to ponder...ever think of this?....."Why is it...a murderer...a rapist...etc...WILL be provided an attorney if they can't afford one..(for free).BUT---if a contractor breeches his agreement...YOU have to hire your own attorney and you have committed no wrong???"....go figure. Also....people get on this "kick" about illegals will do jobs the average American is not willing to do for less...TRUE!!!!!!...But if the average American was entitled to free health care for them and their entire 28 family members with no deductibles or co pays/food stamps/heating & housing assistance...etc...then yes...we could pick apples for $2 an hour also!! Do the math...28 people (who live in one house) multiplied by $2 an hour...for say 12 hours a day...thats comes to $3,360 a week.(5 day work week)..which is just spending money for the legal, American taxpayers are paying their primary expenses for them.
We dont because we use our tax dollars to pay for them to get health care and what not, while they took an Americans job.

America signed the UN declaration; But you fail to mention that other countries need to take responsibility for their poor and not continue to allow people to thrive off the American people. No racism is indicated by what I have seen so far. Race cards are ill advised when talking about humanitarian efforts.
And what do you call the welfare & education we give you along with the most important thing called FREEDOM! And screw the UN.

FYI, one might argue that since we technically didn't allow them to come here, that they don't live here, and that we therefore don't have any moral obligation. Just a thought.
They are criminals who have illegally entered this country. The fact that we aren't shooting them down in the streets should be enough. If you want to get technical it could be considered an enemy combatant and put in jail with no rights whatsoever. Put that in your UN BS pipe and smoke it.

You used the word security, well isn't a fence and enforcement of laws part of security. If you come here legally, we do welcome you, with open arms. How far does human rights go. I do think that illegal immigrants have 1 right, the right to a free ride back to your country.

Why should I have compassion for someone who willfully breaks our laws. Have you ever lived in an area with a high population of illegals,I doubt it. As far as what right do I have to complain,I have every right to especially being a veteran. My next question since you have brought it up,didn't the Spanish pretty much do the same thing in Mexico,cept they killed off the entire population or enslaved them which eventually resulted in their deaths anyway,all for gold. Please stop the insanity. The Constitution of the United States is a document put into effect to benefit American Citizens. Being an Illegal Immigrant AND NOT AN AMERICAN CITIZEN does not constitute your use of our Constitution! Our country has no moral obligation to people who frauded our governmental policies and came here ILLEGALLY!

It has nothing to do with racism. It has to do with them ruining our schools by putting too many kids in them, when they are illegally here and not earning enough to pay their share in taxes even if they paid taxes.
'Freedom' does not mean you don't incarcerate people who break the law, and no government can 'guarantee security' short of locking its citizenry up, which kind of goes against the 'freedom' idea.
Nothing about human rights says we have to pay for them when they are here illegally at the expense of our own people.
