i agree with that ... and if anything is a problem its that they have shipped alot of the high paying jobs overseas to cheap labor ... thats a much bigger problem i think ..
We say we are losing jobs because many employers of middle class jobs are moving overseas. And just because the employment rate is low, it doesnt mean there isn't a lot of people without jobs. A person is considered in the unemployment rate if they are actively looking for a job, and cannot find one.. it doens't apply to people who just arent working because they dont want to.
there are some but alot of them require degrees or tons of experience in certain fields...but as far as simple things like cotton mills and furniture mfg alot of stuff has closed down in the southeast....its disgusting. those were huge industries here before..!! WE NEED TO FORGET FOREIGN WARS AND SOLVE our own stuff....im so sorry....
Every good job now either wants you to have experience or a degree. It stinks when you have a degree but no experience or experience, but no degree. Weird!
When we say they're taking our jobs we refer to the low wage earners, the poorest, lowest skilled workers in the USA. Meat processors, janitors, housekeepers, factory workers, building/grounds maintenence workers, etc. Those are the people who once made a livable wage only to be laid-off and their bosses hire illegal workers for less pay. Those same bosses/business owners would not have lowered those wages if the illegal aliens were not illegally in this country to begin with. American citizens don't live in a third world country, they should not have to compete with third world pay. Illegal aliens should be deported so our citizens wages will go back to a livable one. Our laws should be enforced not only for that reason but many others (disease, terrorism, drugs dealers, other criminals). When you see the high employment rate, you are looking at the average across the country in all areas. They fail to tell you the biggest number of those who ARE unemployed are those displaced by ILLEGAL ALIENS and outsourcing.
Your sources speak for themselves, but saying that there are no more jobs is just part of the nativist rhetoric. They know that the reason most immigrants come here, is for jobs. Therefore, as part of their rhetoric, they must attack this reason. The poor people who are supposedly economically affected by illegal immigrantion are not usually those who are complaining about it.
Our concern is not over having jobs ...it's having jobs that pay enough to live on. Those kinds of jobs are fewer and thinner. Illegals fill the lower voids. By being here alone the create tremendous liability for all Americans in how the recklessly and uninsured driving, killing American either by accident or otherwise and by using our social services, denegrating education, health care and more. From simple things like paying less for gas and finding parking, to being able to afford health care, insurance and housing all are whacked out of good order by these people who may be here today and gone tommorrow. Meanwhile, the crime stats go higher and higher and a large number are illegals. Then there is the other criminality of fake ID and credit cared theft and on on that way.
The problem has not yet collapsed us but in the long run it very likely will. If not from the people themselves, from the illegality and disorder they create. The idea is to fix a problem before it kills you off. A stitch in time ...saves nine. Get it?
You are completely right, that's what I've been trying to tell all these people. Its obvious they're either just racist or have nothing else to complain about. Maybe if they actually get up and away from there computers they would find a job.
