Immigration from USA to UK or UK to USA - which is easier, cheaper, faster? What about work visas?
Thing is, we aren't ready to get married just yet as our relationship thus far has been long-distance. We feel we need to try living together in a normal situation for a time before we make that commitment.
What are our options as far as visas go? Whoever moves would need to be able to work in the other's country in order to be financially stable. There's gotta be some non-marriage way of moving to a different country. Any interesting loopholes?
From USA to UK? From UK to USA? Which move would be easiest? Cheapest? Fastest?
FYI to help determine what our options might be: We are both in our mid-20's with Bachelor's degrees. His company is global and has an office in San Francisco. Mine does not.
Thanks in advance.

You should qualify for the HSMP scheme quite easily if you are under 27 (don't worry if you are not as there are other criteria that they consider) have a look at http://www.definitive-workpermits.co.uk/... to see if you qualify.
This is a pretty straightforward process as long as you can provide the genuine documents.
This is the best way to migrate to the UK for graduates with work experience + your boyfriend can send you a sponsorship letter stating that you will be living together so to prove that you have a place to crash in when you get here.
Hope this helps.
I would suggest that he make the move. If he transferred within his country I think that they take care of all of the visas and any other legal documents. I said this because he can transfer here & you can't transfer there. Not trying to be rude or anything but it seems sensible to me.
