Sure, I know, they claim they only want equality, but what is it for two so completely different styles as man and woman to be "equal"? What it generally comes down to is devaluing all things male and emphasizing all things female, while pushing more women into traditionally male career pathways.
I, on the other hand, got hooked early on with the idea that one plus one equals considerably more than two when you are talking one male and one female who really are partners. Sharing everything is not the same thing as everything being equal. It means throwing in your lot together, sink or swim.
And I, for one, see no reason it must be limited to two people, but then I'm NOT a traditional girl -- or I hearken back to some much older traditions.
