Why should they? It's not like we can make them leave if they don't. They know this. That's why they dishonor our flag any other time of year.
Sassyk, I agree with you that Americans of Mexican heritage are as American as we are. My fiance is one of them. But, you must also agree that many LEGAL and U.S. Born Mexican Americans are the ones leading the protests. Many of them are filling the illegals' heads with the idea that they are entitled to all the free stuff they get. Many of them are flying the Mexican flag over the American flag or even turning the American flag upside-down. These Americans are teaching illegals to have no respect for our country. Those are the ones who are dangerous.
I hope you are not talking about legal Mexican Americans.

I know many Mexicans are extremely patriotic to the country to the country they were born or naturalized in. Perhaps you mean "how many illegal immigrants..."?

none of them will honor the flag..i guess u forgot about them raising the mexican flag @ an east la post office a while back.
the closest they'll get to *honoring* the US on the 4th will be by playing with fireworks..and they'll probably do it in areas where its illegal
My husband and I will be flying the red, white, and blue high this 4th and many of our Latino illegals will be doing the same! All us bought American flags in bulk and have been flying them since March 1! An no, they are not flying the "Mexican, Columbian, or any other country flag". We even opened up the neighborhood for a free picnic for all our black and white neighbors in the area to watch the Fireworks here in our city. My American/ Asian neighbors are donating the sodas and our African/ American neighbors church is donating inflattable games for the kids. Participating will be over 500 people from our neighborhood alone. That is America friends. Celebrating the Freedom we love, to be a part of , and dream about daily. GOD BLESS AMERICA. Pray for our troops and veterans that have served our country and pray for those who all wish to be free all over the world.

You would think that they would be the first to honor anything about this country. I travel the U.S. and visit any place that honors our country, and the people that fought and died for it. I just visited Mt. Rushmore, and I think every American and any one that wants to honor our country and what it stands for needs to do, and stand at the base of this great monument and sing the Star Spangled Banner, It was a very moving thing to do. I saw Americans there, not immigrants, legal or illegal. Just as when i was in D.C. at many of the great places there, no immigrants, Americans paying respect to our great nation. I also have been to L.A. Many places in Texas, Arizona and have seen the way that they pay their respect by spray painting the buildings, trashing neighborhoods, turning chickens loose in the streets, look at the news and you will see that most of the violent crimes are commited by illegals.
There have been over 45000 Americans killed by illegals since 9/11 ...yes they enjoy living in this unique country. They are enjoying taking what so many Americans fought and died for without any regard for the rule of our laws.

I think there are plenty of people with Mexican heritage that are willing to honor this country and its national symbols this 4th of July. I also think there are plenty who won't. The plenty who won't will mostly consist of the illegals. There will be Mexican American (born and raised in the US) who will wave the American flag but deep down inside feel more love for the Mexican flag. There will Mexican Americans (not born and raised in the US that have received citizenship here) that will wave the American flag but deep down inside feel more love for the Mexican flag. There will be American Mexicans who wave the American flag because they truly love America and America is their country, not Mexico. I can't blame anyone who feels that there won't be many Mexicans truly honoring this country. I can blame people who don't think there are Mexicans who don't truly honor this country. Regardless, I believe you ask your question because of the tremendous lack of respect that has been shown by illegal and legal Mexicans living in the US for quite some time now. Maybe you ask your question because you are fed up like many Americans rightfully are.
legal mexican and illegals w.e. all of us came in this country for one reason: is to stay in this country. and they might celebrate 4th of July. The thing is Legal Mexican Americans will celebrate with peace meanwhile illegal ones, work and are afraid ICE comes to get them. I llegal aliens might or might not celebrate but legal ones, hell yea! just like us americans.
I am Mexican,born, and raised, and I will definitely honor this wonderful country on this 4th of July.
But not only that, I think I honor it everyday working hard, paying my taxes, and doing what I have to achieve the American Dream. Not only because I love this country, but because I am very grateful that the U.S. allowed me and my wife to do so.
