If I got married to a sunni Muslim in US, will my marriage be considered legally binding by US Law?
Answer:
No matter what...
The islamic law will be the binding pain in your neck.
Do Not Get Married With It !!!!!!!
Yes of course. The US does not discrminiate based on religion. This is why Osama wans to kill us.
A marriage is legally binding no matter where you are from or the religion you have
I'm Shea,Islam lets u to do that but i dont know about sunnies!
and...also by law of USA u are allowed to do that.
yes. and good luck. i'm sure your wife will hear a lot of crap about marrying you but as long as you love each other who cares? good luck and hope everything works out.
As long as you have a legally obtained and signed marriage certificate, I don't see why it would not be legal.
If you get married in the US the US will recognize your marriage (assuming you aren't already married to someone else, or something.) Regarding registering it in your home country, that will be up to your home country. However, I don't know of countries that don't recognize legitimate marriages in other countries.
You may marry anyone of the opposite sex you like in America. The law here is not infused with religion, so you do not have to worry about being persecuted.
There are people working towards letting citizens have same sex marriages too.
Why would you marry the ENEMY? DO not forget 911...
