cause our governments are such a soft touch & make there own citizens go without in the process
I'm British and just emigrated because GB is for everyone except their own!
Freedom.. safety...I guess it depends where they are coming from, and what they think Britain is like.
American immigrants,I don't know maybe they watch too much Masterpiece Theather. All others I suppose are hoping for more money for their work. They don't reliaze that England is very expensive.

Life in Britain is great if your an Asylum Seeker... its a " Fully Inclusive " Holiday. Everything for them is Free. Housing, Spending Money, Transport, Health-care - that Americans would Die for ... The only thing the UK doesnt provide for them is Nice Weather. - and some Human Rights Lawyer is probably sitting working out how to claim Compensation for that... Tear up your Passport now ...Come to Britain...

I think its the English language textbooks - they create such a nice idea of the country to everyone studying English, that they want to live ''the real thing''.
My guess is that if you keep accepting them , then they will keep coming.
THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IS ECONOMY BETWEEN THEIR COUNTRIES AND HERE IN BRITAIN. OUR ECONOMY IS MUCH BETTER THEN OTHER COUNTRIES AND THAT IS WHY A BRITISH STERLING POUND IS SO EXPENSIVE IN THEM COUNTRIES TO BUY. FOR EXAMPLE IF SOME ONE BUYS A POUND IN INDIA IT WILL COST THEM ABOUT 90 INDIAN RUPEES. SO WHEN POEPLE COME HERE THEY WORK AND SEND MONEY BACK TO THEIR COUNTRIES.
ANOTHER BIGGEST REASON IS. BRITAIN IS STILL THE NICEST PLACE IN WORLD TO LIVE IN. IT IS DESIRE OF MOST PEOPLE TO LIVE IN LONDON. THE WORLD'S MOST FASHION AND BUSINESS GENERATOR. ALL THESE THINGS TOGTHER MAKES PEOPLE IMMEGRATE TO BRITAIN.

Its a somewhat obvious answer. We have been one of the top countries in the world for a very long time and have built a strong and vibrant economy. Places like africa have the oppotunity to do the same but instead prefer to tear themselves apart. I dont want to say that europeans are intellectually more superioir to other nations, but in the past 1000 years have we built such a strong continent where everyone else wants to get to.
And europe is a continent, not a country!! Despite what some pro E.U people want.

the attraction is the money the normal natives of uk earn and pay out to our goverment they come in and expect freebies when our people cant even get decent housing or jobs bout time borders were closed to people getting into britain and give more help to those who need it in our own country first as the saying goes charity begins at home.
They can jump the housing queue. Get benefits. FREE NHS. Do what they want and then shout RACIST as many times as they like and WE the British public will get punished for them. Once they get all that then they can invite there whole family over to reak more havoc.
