Should we make all anchor babies under age 17 non U.S. citizens so they can be deported along w/their parents?
To me this is the FIRST law our so-called government should be working on...not how to give away out treasurey to law-breakers in the blink of an eye :(.
Answer:
YES!! Other countries don't allow you to claim that your child is from say France. You would still be considered an American (if an American had given birth that is)
** The 14TH Amendment wasn't for Illegals. That was for Black Americans. Read your history and the Consititution.
...only as long as you're willing to deport the Constitution with them.
No. A person born in the US is a citizen. Period. Let's stop illegals from having anchor babies instead.
HELL YES!!!!!!!!!...
Leo is onto something...
those are not families but gadgets devised to let babies stay here to apply for resident immigration visas on behalf of their illegal parents.
Set up abortion mills along the border and abort the fetuses of all illegals caught. Then ship them and the dead fetuses back to mexico
No. Violating the 14th Amendment is not called for.
The fact is, parents /can/ take thier children with them when they are deported. It is the pro-illegals who are intentionally breaking up families in an attempt to garner undeserved sympathy.
I'm all for that!
I agree 100% with NO ANCHOR BABIES!!!
No, I think people like you who call little defenseless innocent children names like "anchor baby" should get their a$$es kicked for being so darn ignorant.
I dont know that we COULD do that--retroactively taking BACK citizenship once bestowed... But, I do agree with the concept that for a child to get "automatic citizenship" in the US, at least ONE of that child's parents must be here LEGALLY! And I would 100% support a constitutional amendment that would make that the law of the land!
That one act, in and of itself, would dramatically reduce the inflow of illegals into our great country!
Let's lean our politicians to make this happen!
Simple old me wouldn't be separated from my kids under ANY circumstances. Take 'em with you.
Yes!! The idea has been brought up before but hopefully one day someone in authority will take heed of it..
No. A child born on American soil is an American citizen. It is a Constitutional guarantee. - not a law.
Lay off the immigrants. They are not going to be deported. There are too many of them. It is impossible to find and deport 13 million people.that is more than the combined population of the states of Colorado, Arizona and Nevada and more than the entire population of Denmark.
There is no way it can be done. None.
The government has ignored the problem for over 60 years because they don't care. Big business, farmers, agribusiness and others depend on the cheap labor and the government know it. They are not going to do a darned thing except get you all riled up to divert your attention from the real problems in our country.
Find something else to do.improve yourself, go to school or take some college courses, joing the anti-war movement, volunteer in a hospital. Get a life.
We should change the 14th amendment. It was written to give slaves citizenship in 1866, but some how gives babies of illegals born here legal status. No other country allows babies born on their soil to be a citizen of that country. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/fourteenth-...
Think about this: How about when the earlier immigrants made laws to be able to control later immigrants? Who was around to get rid of those beastly murderers? Because weren't the earlier immigrants much more violent and criminal than the current immigrants, particularly the newer babies you're talking about?
Just asking...because I think the common US citizen has more to fear from those descendent of immigrants that have been here for a couple hundred years and are creating a fascist regime while abolishing your rights.
Sure they really aren't Citizens , unless their Parents, were
Legal Citizens.
if you here illgalel and you have a baby deport you and the baby too the hell with all of them
absolutely .. friggin great idea.. buh bye !!!
Si!
agreed
The irony of the "anchor baby" "law" is that there is no law to that effect. It was merely an implementation of a policy that the immigration agency put in place because it sounded more humane. The "clarification" of the intended provisions of the law would stop that non-sense and the anchor baby scenario would be over. But, that too is too hot for any spineless politician.
We? are you saying YOU have that power, no WE shouldn't.
well maybe we should get rid of you and your family first. that would be a good thing for all
