How Can I Help My Foreign Friend?

From Algeria, really sweet guy and would like for him to have a better future in the USA. What is the necessary paperwork, visas etc. for him to be able to come stay with me? So he can work and study. Please no jokes.

Answer:
I am all for legal immigration so I have no problem searching for you the information. Good Luck helping your friend --- the site is divided into sections of interest so I gave you two links . One is for travel the other for visas ...

FOREIGN ENTRY REQUIREMENTS --Millions of foreign visitors travel to the U.S. each year. Others come to live here permanently. International visitors and immigrants add greatly to our nation's cultural, education and economic life. We welcome them. At the same time, we need to do everything we can to keep everyone here, safe. We believe in secure borders and open doors.
I'm serious - make sure he's LEGAL before coming here - fill out the paperwork BEFORE he comes
i have alot of friends who work in this field,, I'll have to ask on what the stipulations are for Algeria but in most cases you can write an invitation for him,,, he could also apply for a work visa... there are many ways to get him here, once he's here depending on the stipulations he could always apply for citizenship...you could sponsor him... but that differs on every country, because my husband is from Honduras and they can't just come over here and apply, they have to either get married or have an immediate relative who already lives here apply for them to stay....
Think if he cross the Mexico border he is then free to live here worry free
Realistically, there's nothing you can do to assist him. The whole world wants to move to the United States.

He can apply for a student visa. He'll need to apply and be accepted as a foreign student to an accredited US college or university. It will be very, very expensive as he will pay the highest fees, higher than even non-resident.

He can get a good college education where he's at in an area that's highly in demand in the United States, such as nursing or physical therapy. After graduation he can take an international exam, and if he passes, he can find a US employer to sponsor him for a work visa.

There are no job visas available for unskilled/non-college educated workers.

You could marry him and get him a visa as your husband. This will require you to fly to where he's at and meet him in person. It will require you to have a long-distance relationship with him and be able to prove it with letters, phone bills, air line tickets, emails, pictures, etc...
