All she needs to do is go get an immagrant lawyer and they will help her set herself up, she has been here to long to adapt to her country again and she has already gotten accustom to living the american way. You say she also went to school here, so she has proven to be a good citizen, as long as she has no bad background she will go thru the same process that anyone goes to, to become legal, she is already americanize and as long as she speaks good english she will go thru the process in two years.

That's a long way to travel to the US just to get deported. I would say she needs to apply for legal residency at a minimum, or she will be shipped out.

i feel bad for your friend....she didn't chose to come here illegally, she was just a kid. i'm not sure what she can do...but i think this is a really good reason why we need some kind of reform or something!! how can they send a young girl back to a country she doesn't know, with no one to take care of her! i suggest that she consult an immigration lawyer, and try to do everything the legal way. her life will be so much better once this is taken care of for her...college, etc... i also suggest if she wants to stay here...she needs to leave her parents out of it. like, pretend they aren't even here, otherwise the whole family will go back, and that is for sure. it's too bad...this is a really tough time right now for this issue, and the government is looking to make examples out of people just as often as they want to help them. she needs a lawyer.
Your friend's parent broke the law. Now your friend has to go home. Hopefully some good will come out of it. Maybe your friend will help push for democracy in his home country.

A large portion of the people would immigrate from the Philippines to the U.S. if they could. The waiting list is over 10 years.

Most likely, she needs to have her parents fill out a form (Probably a F2A (minor) or F2B (unmarried child over 21 years old)) to be put on the waiting list.
First of all, you need to understand that an illegal alien is not an immigrant. An immigrant enters the country legally. 15 years is not long enough. Being a criminal doesn't have a time limit. Your friend should go to the ICE so she can be deported. Bye bye!
