Can my son leave and come back to the USA without a greencard?

My family anf I moved to USA about six years ago when we won the greencard and have been living here ever since. Two years ago, I had a son. Now, this summer I wish that my whole family(me, husband, daughter, and son) would visit Russia again. Does any one know if my son needs a passport? Are there any websites that might help me?

Answer:
Yes.be sure that he can not leave the u.s without passport. He is born in united states,so he is an american born citizen. You should apply for a u.s passport for him as soon as possible(if you plan to travel in next few weeks).normally it takes about 3-4 weeks to receive the passport. You can apply at city county or a post office. You also can pay an extra charge to expediate the issuance of the passport. Before leaving the united states ask about immigration rules in your home country (will your son need a russian passport also,or should you apply for him to get a visa to enter the russia.
I would think that he does need a passport to leave and enter the country. He does not need a greencard because he is born here and that makes him a US citizen. Try this website http://www.state.gov/travelandbusiness/...
Well I'm sure that you all will need paassports but your son is a U.S. citizen if he was born here so no green card should be needed.
If your son was born in the US he can get a US passport. I have no idea what Russia's rules are for visitors, but I can't see why they would stop a citizen bringing in their child.
yes.
