I live in the US, but i'm not a US citizen(and dont plan to be one) I'm planning to visit Switzerland. I wanna stay for a month or so, and i have alot of family over there. Do i need to get a visa? And if so, how long will that take? i know the Swiss are really strict about this, but it's easier if i have family there.
Also, if you are born in Switzerland, but moved to the US, can you still get citizenship in Switzerland? (this is for my sister)
thanx =)
Answer:
Question 1:
If you need a visa or not depends on your nationality. However as a U.S. resident you shouldn't have problems to get one. It is best if you contact one of the Swiss consulates in the U.S:

By the way: Do not rely on visa information you get in MyTend. I saw dozens of misleading answers so far.
Question 2:
If your sister left Switzerland as a non-Swiss there is not chance for her to get a Swiss citizenship. (Unless moving back to Switzerland and life there for several years to meet the very strict requirements to obtain a Swiss citizenship.)
Enjoy your stay in Switzerland.
