We as a nation have a right to demand that our borders be respected. There are plenty of LEGAL ways to come into this country. I don't think it's asking to much to expect people who want to work here and take advantage of our social programs to follow our laws.
Tell you what, I'll let you pay for my share of taxes that go to the welfare system in California, every time money and resourses is spent on a criminal, who does not pay taxes into the system they use for benefits.

why do people like you feel that it is everybody in the worlds right to come here and mooch off of our system. do you know that a peso is 9 cents to the dollar...a lot of them come here to farm in the summer and then go home to live like kings...they aren't the only race/group of people doing it. just because they're mexican this makes people racist? quick story, i moved to colorado to live on a resort where i was promised a job a month before (this was in 2003). I had spoken with the management and had papers faxed to me and i was just about hired. When i went down to talk to them about my position they said that they didn't need me. I Looked around town and couldnt find a job anywhere. The locals already had had their jobs and the seasonal ones (like the one i was applying for) were taken...do you know who they were taken by? ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS! mexicans and haitians to be exact. I found it sad because I met a couple of other kids from boston and from miami who had been promised jobs to...or at least a chance for one...we didnt get it simply because they'd have to pay us a buck more and maybe offer some sort of benefits.
We aren't denying them crap, they know what they're getting into when they come here...they know they're illegal. No instead all around town every mexican woman is pregnant (she's gonna have a naturalized citizen) and then i and everybody else has to pay for it's schooling...then they can register for college loans too...that they can get cos they're minorities EVEN THOUGH they're not supposed to be here and they're parents were lucky enough to transform into some material object like a seat or center console in a car and not get caught.
And whoever said that they aren't criminals is very ignorant. Every night around where my parents live (the town i'm from) there's cops all over and ambulances (WHICH our taxes also are gonna pay for) to transport all of these mexicans in knife fights (my friends an EMT...so that's how i know)...They're always hanging out on the street drunk...I've seen some of their little kids throwing bottles at store windows...the list goes on. It's more dangerous for us to not know who they are...no fingerprints on file, social security number, dna...nothing...they could rape, mame and kill and just hop back over the border or leave town and we wouldn't know...
so that's why they should all be arrested and deported and that's why we should make a concentrated effort to do so. Instead people just want to make them legal...we don't even know who these people are...
if you want to stay you should learn english, get an american history book and GET IN LINE...
all the other leeches need to go back home and be bums in their own country...not ours.

in my opinion there is a legit reason why they should be denied a future in the USA and i will say it just so the next who will answer ur question do get that we understand that reason :
they are in the country with out documents and that should be enough .
however we as people who have seen the benefits of giving an opportunity to others should also understand that even if that its actually reason enough not to, we should also remember how is it that many before them were giving the same OPPORTUNITY to stay and in my opinion that its all they are really asking for an OPPORTUNITY . this is a country which was made by immigrants and of course the native Americans , so in my opinion we cannot turn our backs today and say well guess what u are not good enough for the USA just because u are poor .
we should also think in all they do for this country and how is it that they actually are helping us a lot , for example a 60 percent of the food in this country comes directly from undocumented who harvest the land and actually are doing those jobs that most of us would not comeback to do after just one single day . i am sure there is so many who think oh yeah i would do that if i was paid enough , but i dare them to go and actually do that and then to swear they will keep doing so when they could be paid a lot more doing something easier . so here a bigger reason to let them stay .
i also would like to mention that after 9/11 it was them who showed up to clean up the mess which those who only came to harm us and not to work ( like most of the undocumented ) made , i mean there were a lot of jobs but yet the only ones who show up were the undocumented and today it is them who have to live sick and see their lives deteriorating just because they were offered the opportunity to make a better life but instead become sick and now are paying with their health . here another reason to let them stay .
i also would like to mention that they in fact do pay taxes and that not matter who says that they don't there is actually numbers which prove otherwise . it is a known fact that every year there is around 8 billion dollars which are not claimed back and which of course do come from them even with all who keep saying that do not pay taxes , what a surprise they actually do :D and it is billions what they contribute but that's not all , there is the taxes which they pay in mortgage and which will be as much as 60 billions in the coming years . there is the taxes which they pay every time they go and buy anything yet i keep seeing many ignoring those numbers which can be found so easily and i just think it is a shame . so here another reason to let them stay .
i would like to give one more reason and i think this should be enough :
there is no way the government will deport 11 million just like that and if we start making their employers pay for hiring them the only thing that will accomplish is that either they will stop paying taxes and go under the table or that they will just steal someone else identity just to have a job . people need to get real , they will not leave and they will not be deported .
note : i just wanted to add than only about 2 percent of the USA jail population is undocumented , yes undocumented are far less likely to commit crimes than USA citizens .

Because they are denying my future by absorbing resources meant for me and my fellow Americans. They dont give a dam about anyone in this country other than themselves. Legal immigrants are one of our greatest assets. Illegal immigrants are straining our hospitals and justice system. Illegal immigrants are unprotected against abuse by greedy employers who they cannot complain about, forced to live in poor conditions, and they are keeping the wages of legal workers lower. We have nearly full employment in our country. If employers did not have cheap, illegal labor, they would be forced to pay higher wages to get the labor force needed. I would gladly pay an extra 10 cents for a head of lettuce to know that the person who picked it was fairly paid and protected by worker's compensation in case of work-related disability.
The only truthful thing you said in your statement is "illegal". How are they helping our country, when they get all the freebies most U.S. taxpaying citizens have no choice but to support. The only thing they do is help close our medical facilities & get all the welfare & WIC they can.

There seems to be a premise that the US has some obligation to help these people because of their living conditions by allowing them to immigrate into the country. There was a time when the country was underpopulated and needed additional people. That is not the case anymore. Immigration is supported through quotas and they attempt to be fair to all people of the world. The US; however, is under no obligation to help.
These people need to address their problem at home and not simply sneak across the boarder. There are billions of people in the world more deserving of immigration if you based it on poverty. The US cannot support billions of people.
