While appearing for the dependent (L2) visa stamping interview for US, is original I-129 form required?

Hi. I am working in US on L1 visa. I am going to initiate dependent L2 processing for my wife. Does she need to carry my original I-129 while appearing in the visa interview?

Answer:
If Form I-797 is a blanket permit, copy of Form I-797 and I-129 will do. Otherwise the original Notice of Action (Form I-797) and I-129 is required.

In addition a letter from employer that describes her relationship with you and purpose of her travel is a must. Always keep any eye on the vfs-usa.co.in website as the rules mentioned are subject to change. These days they have waived off $50.00 reciprocity fee for nationals of India. Only $100 visa application fee is required.

I don't think so. They will have your file along with hers.
